Engineered Stone

"... A man made product composed of a blend of natural minerals and manmade agents (such as polyester, glass, epoxy, and other such ingredients)...."

What is Engineered Stone?

Engineered stone is made of 93% crushed quartz, which is combined with quality polymer resins and pigments.  They are then compacted under intense vibration, vacuum, and pressure into dense, non-porous slabs. This product can give the appearance of a “stone-like” surface, but it does not possess the characteristic of a natural stone. Its range of use is limited.

Characteristics and Applications of Engineered Stone

Custom solid surface countertops, made of crushed stone bound together by a polymer resin, offer a unique balance of beauty and durability.  Available in many colors, solid surface is an advanced blend of natural materials and pure acrylic polymer used to create a seamless, clean, stylish look for your kitchen and bath countertops.

Solid surface countertops are easy to clean, retain their original beauty for many years and look great with brass, tile, and granite.
